Our Focus

The focus of the curriculum is to provide students with a well-rounded musical education while enhancing their appreciation of the value of music. This will be accomplished through a variety of activities and assignments. The courses will be divided into two parts skills and theory development. 

•    Skills will focus on developing student’s proper technique and skills associated with performing on their instruments.
•     Theory development will help to establish a better understanding of the principles and concepts of music and reading music. 

Students will also be exposed to a variety of musical styles that influence their repertoire. In addition they will participate in listening activities which will teach them to critically listen to music and have a deeper understanding and appreciation of music.
